The Adoptee Rights Demonstration

7/21/10 – Registration is closed to allow the organizers time to attend to last minute details. Please note all are welcome, wanted and needed, regardless of registering. At registration, you will be asked your interest in volunteering. Please note volunteering is not mandatory! However we recognize and appreciate the many offers of help we received from the community. We are always looking for volunteers for the following tasks:

Online Promotions – Be available during months leading up to the event to repost updates via mailing lists, Twitter, Facebook, Myspace, blogs and other online social media.

Sign Making Party Assistants – Meet and greet attendees. Be available to assist with questions, hand out instructional sheets on how to make signs and suggested slogans.

March and Demonstration Monitors – Help ensure the safety of those participating in the march. Keep participants together while marching, keep the chants in unison. Provide guidance to participants during the demonstration at the convention center.

Rally Trash Cleanup – Stay behind after the rally to ensure the area is left clean of litter and debris.

Transportation – We’ll need someone with a van, minivan, SUV or truck to transport materials to the convention center for booth set-up day. We’ll also need assistance the day of the protest itself to transport signs and materials to the rally location, and return signs after the demonstration to the hotel.

Hospitality Coordinators – Louisville is a fun town! Be available during the days before and after the rally to provide information and direction to participants on group tourism activities.

After registration, you will be subscribed to the Mailing List for the demonstration when it goes live. If you do not wish to be on the list, you may opt-out of this on the registration form. It is strongly suggested you remain on the list, however, as this list will be the primary source of demonstration news and information for attendees.

We are asking protesters to consider supporting the demonstration by making a small $5.00 donation towards expenses. Please note that this donation is not mandatory, and no one will be excluded from the event if they do not donate.
